last week doing a few runs with my friend in his GTI. He's working on transferring them to mpeg, then you'll be able to hear them. If I could do it all over again, I would have left the stock exhaust and made the cutouts. No need for a $1k exhaust with the cutouts. The best performance gains would be seen on a restrictive exhaust. The plan was to put them in front of the cats (there were fitment issues with the switch), and when smog time rolls around, that's what I'm hoping to do (since I don't have cats now). Then the gains (avoiding the cats) would be more noticeable. And you can't see the straight-pipes unless you squat behind the car since they are right above/behind the tow hooks. We had the switches custom built for the exhaust, I can get them for anyone interested. They are T6061 T6 aluminum plate, with a 316 stainless steel shaft, warrantied for 3 years. 2 of them run about $400 shipped for 2.5, 3, or 3.5" exhausts. Props to SP (Scott Performance) for making it happen during the downpipe project. SS
